Hello all!
I am happy to blog about my first DIY in 2017! It was simple but made the greatest impact on our entry area!
I was given an old entry table by one of my family members (Don’t you just love free stuff ) but the color did not go with any of my home decor. So I decided to give it a quick makeover! Lets get into how I did it!
Here are a few pictures of how it looked before:
As you can see it was a cute table with a nice color but very traditional in style.
I decide I wanted a more eclectic modern look, so you know what happened next! I pulled out the paint and got started!
What I used:
1 can of Rust-oleom Chalk paint in linen white
1 can of Rust-oleom spray paint in gold metallic
1 paint brush or your choice (I used an angled paint brush)
1 roll of Frogtape (or Painters tape)
First I taped off the area that I wanted to spray paint. Spray painted it with about 3 coats of paint letting it dry about 15 min in between.
Next I taped off the line between the gold paint in the white paint and started painting the bottom half of the entry table. I ended up adding 2 coats of white chalk paint to the table to get a nice blended look!
Then I let it dry for a few hours and style it to my taste! I decided to leave the wood color on the top of the table and I love it! It turned out better then I expected!
Check out the full entry way reveal here!
I would look to hear from you all!, Tell me what you think? Any ideas on how you would style this piece?
With love,
