Hey all!
Today I wanted to share with you something that I have been waiting to do for a while; A laundry room makeover! As I have shared before, my home is a work in progress and although it has came mighty long way including my kitchen, entryway and living room there are areas that still need a little revamp. I am finally glad to say that at least one room can be checked off the list! Yay!!!
So lets get right to it! I had a small laundry area with little to no lighting and It was important for to make the area light, airy, pleasant, and on a budget.
Here are a few before pics:
As you can see, It was hard for me to capture a good angle to really show the room due to how the room is positioned but you kind of get the struggle I was dealing with, very grim and outdated.
So I brainstormed ways to make this small space not only functional but pleasing to the eye and began makes small changes for big results!
Here is the After:
I had a hard time capturing this room due to how small it is and the lighting but I do think these small changes made a huge difference! Not only is this room functional but It also enjoyable to go into during our weekly wash!
A few changes that I made included painting the cabinets white, spray painting the knobs silver, I also added a shelf (which makes for great storage), removed a cabinet door to display open shelving, And lastly, added DIY Artwork, nice storage baskets, and some cute decor pieces! I didn’t make very many purchases for this project, however I did score an amazing deal on my baskets that I purchased from Dollar general. They just so happen to be on clearance and I got them for half off!!! *insert fun dance here* That really helped with the over all cost of the project! Never underestimate the Dollar store!
I really love how this room turned out! And the best part is I spent less the $60 on this Simple but Cute makeover! I just love a good frugal makeover!
Now the only thing left to do is change out the light fixture with a nice bright Led light to help give the room the overall brightness I want to create!
I hope you all enjoy the makeover as much as we do! I would love to know, Have you every revamped your laundry room?
With love,
